To those who are quite new to cloth diapering, the terms used by the 'experts' can be rather daunting. So here, i try to simplify things so you wouldn't think cloth diapering is gonna be difficult. This list is of course, not so comprehensive, but i will add to it from time to time...
A
AIO (All in one): a cloth diaper with its soaker sewn onto its cover.
AI2 (All in two): a cloth diaper that has 2 main parts (the soaker and the cover) that can be detached. Usually the soaker can be replaced once it gets soiled, and the cover can be reused with a new soaker. The soaker is placed on top of the cover.
B
Button= snaps
Bamboo: an organic fabric used as a soaker/ insert with anti bacterial properties and is suitable for sensitive skin. Can be in direct contact with skin without causing irritation.

CD (cloth diaper)
Cover= shell

ETP (Extended tab prefold): a prefold with sewn in snaps

Fitted diaper: a diaper with several layers of absortive fabric, but not waterproof (sometimes needs a waterproof cover if baby is a heavy wetter). Good for overnight use. Can be a bit difficult to dry)
Flats: the old- fashioned square white cloth used with a cover (kain lampin)

GB (group buy): refers to a situation where someone volunteers to get other members of a group a good deal on a certain brand of CD from the manufacturer/ seller without taking much commission
H
High rise- refers to the cutting of leg gussets of cloth diapers
Hemp- a type of organic fabric used as an insert/ soaker/ CD

Inserts: pieces of cloth (can be anything absorptive e.g microfibre, bamboo, hemp, zorb etc.) that you put inside a pocket diaper to absorb wetness.

Microfibre- a synthetic fabric used as insert. Should not be placed next to baby's skin as can cause irritation.
Minky: the 'fluffy', 'furry' type of cover. Waterproof.

OS (one size): means the CD can be adjusted (by means of snap down buttons or straps) to fit all sizes (S, M, L, XL) within the mentioned range e.g 3-15kg
P
Pocket diaper: a diaper with a pocket where you put the inserts. If this diaper is soiled, you'll have to change a new one
PUL: Polyurethene laminate- waterproof material used as a diaper cover.
Prefold: made up of several layers of absorptive cloth (like flats but several layers of them sewn together). Needs to be folded to be worn with a cover.

Soaker
SIO (snap in one): All-in-2 system used in Itti Bitti brand
Strip wash: when you wash your diapers/ inserts with Sunlight or some use bicarbonate soda (many ways of stripwashing) in attempt to remove soap residues that prevent CDs or inserts from being absorptive (causes leaks)
